The Villa Berica Healthcare Facility was founded in Vicenza in the early 1930s with a focus in surgery.

At the beginning of the 1950s, the ophthalmologist Prof. Alessandro Trettenero took ownership of it together with his family.

During its management the clinic faced a major transformation by integrating the private sector with the National Health Service affiliated services.

Over the years the inpatient activity has diversified and expanded, offering the patient a broad panorama of hospital and outpatient services. The growth in the supply of healthcare services has always been accompanied by continuous improvements, expansion and technological updates.

In 2000 the surgeon Prof. Raffaele Garofalo, president of one of the most important Italian private healthcare groups, decided to purchase the healthcare facility directly from the Trettenero family, thus accelerating the transition from classical surgery to the most current and modern surgical techniques such as laparoscopy and interventional endoscopy, thus promoting the patient's functional recovery in a very short time.

In 2003 the new operating group was inaugurated, consisting of 4 surgical rooms equipped with the best equipment and technologies, to which a cardiac catheterization laboratory and a surgical clinic were recently added.

Since 2001 Villa Berica has been certified UNI EN ISO 9001/2015, in 2016 it obtained the renewal of the regional accreditation and in 2015 the renewal of the authorization to operate.

WHERE WE ARE

The Villa Berica Healthcare Facility is located in the urban center of Vicenza, at 10 Via Capparozzo and can be reached:

• By city bus, line 1: stop along Corso Padova near Via G. Salvi; line 7: stop on Via Maffei or at the terminus on Via Pizzocaro.
• By FTV bus: Vicenza-Padova line in the direction of Padua with a stop on Corso Padova at Unicredit Banca, in the direction of Vicenza with a stop in front of Stadio Menti.
• By cab: phone 0444 920600
• By private vehicle: from Via G. Salvi (Via Capparozzo is partly one-way)

There is free parking in the perimeter of the Treatment Center except for some areas dedicated to handicapped vehicles in addition to emergency vehicles.

Outside, on the streets adjacent to the Treatment Center there are paid parking lots (fee: €0.25 for the first hour, €1 for subsequent hours).
