BOOKING PROCEDURES AND PRACTICAL INFO
In order to book a visit and/or another specialized or diagnostic service under Italian NHS system the general medicine physician’s request on specific prescription is required. Indeed for the private fee-for-services it is enough the specialist’s request.

Filling in the requested data in the section BOOK AN EXAMINATION
In case of personally booking, a reminder stating the day, hour and service shall be issued. For some specialized examinations a particular preparation, to execute in the previous days, is required. The secretariat staff has got the set of forms for the test specific preparation (ultrasonography, radiography, CT, endoscopy and laboratory tests) which will be delivered at the moment of booking. In case of phone booking, the indications can be even sent by email or fax machine.
The day of service is necessary to bring the treating physician’s authorization, health insurance card, fiscal code and possible and previous specialized documents. Before to access the medical office is mandatory to present to the secretariat staff at the counters, provide with the progressive number of call to pick up at specific emitter, positioned near the counters for the authorization record, ticket payment (or exemption check). The patients who cannot respect the booked date are pleased to communicate the cancellation to the secretariat personnel within 48 hours from the appointment day.
